In the late 1970's, Eleanor began breeding Chow Chows. Patty didn't
like the Chows as much as the Pointers, so she set out to get a Pointer of her own. Neighbor and friend Pat MacDonald
told Eleanor and Patty that she saw a lovely liver and white bitch at the shows that looked like pictures of their first Pointer,
Sugar. This was Margie Martorella's top winning bitch, Ch. Truewithem A Taste Of Triumph, known as Donna. Both
Patty and Eleanor just loved Donna, and Patty bought Cameo. Besides attaining her championship, Patty also joined a
local dog training club, and Cammie earned her CD with stellar scores. Cammie was one of the first two Pointers to qualify
and compete in a Gaines Regional Obedience competition. The other one was the first Pointer OTCH Scanpoint Sunrise Serenade.
Cammie was
bred twice. First to her half brother, Ch. Marjetta's Lord Carlton "Smudge". Next to another lovely
liver dog, Ch. Belarm's Taskmaster. Two males from the first litter were bred to Finefield Firebird, grandaughter to
their first Pointer. This doubled up on the wonderful lines of Mark Bryant behind both the Finefield and Truewithem
lines.
